With more than 20 years of experience in the worlds of publishing, marketing,
and communications — and equal interest in both the words used to communicate as well as the
packaging in which those words are delivered — I am uniquely qualified to provide your organization with all the writing,
editing, design, and production services you’ll need.

I launched my career in communications as a writer/editor for a broadcasting
trade magazine. It was here that I honed my interviewing and writing skills, and developed the ability to edit and frequently rewrite articles submitted by a team of international reporters.

From there I began an extensive tenure at Scholastic, the internationally
respected educational publishing company. I started as the
copyeditor/production editor for a technology magazine and later moved into the
position of managing editor for a 75+-year-old magazine for teachers. Here I
developed my managerial skills and garnered a deep understanding of the publishing process, from conception through publication. It was also here that I discovered and
embraced a powerful new tool—desktop publishing.

After Scholastic, I continued to pursue my interest in education, this time
joining the communications/marketing team for The Edison Project, a start-up
educational management organization. It was here that I developed my
understanding of marketing while writing copy for, designing, and handling production for an extensive array of materials, including brochures, posters,
advertisements, display booths, newsletters, web sites, etc.

Since leaving Edison in 2007, I have been using my skills providing a variety of services to an extensive and varied list of clients. To view pdf samples from my
